1. Nothing stolen! No 500 million refunded!

Former Governor of Oyo state, Rasheed Ladoja has denied refunding N500 million he supposedly stole to the EFCC.

The present governor, Abiola Ajimobi, had alleged that Ladoja was arrested, detained and forced to return his N500 million loot to the graft body.

But Ladoja says it never happened, and then, the back and forth commenced.

2. GEJ and Jega differ on election in Borno.

The President says election will hold everywhere, but INEC boss, Jega says it is unrealistic.

“First and foremost, we know that there are many internally displaced persons in Nigeria but our focus is going to be on the north east zone and it will only be for internally displaced persons that are in the states.

“To be realistic, we must say that it may be impossible to do elections everywhere, in every local government, in every constituency in those three states.”

3. Mbu, the village-destroying radical.

Joseph Mbu says he will bring down any village where a policeman is killed.

“We are hardly appreciated, wherever there is crisis, we go there to make peace but we are killed. Honestly, any policeman who is killed by any community in my zone, I will bring that village down, we have to rise against the killing of policemen.”

“I am radical officer but a rebel with a cause; we protect everybody, we do not work for ourselves, we are working for the nation; we must be respected, regarded and appreciated.”

4. Haba! We are not parasites.

According to Alhaji Maitama Sule, the northern part of Nigeria is not feeding off the Niger Delta’s oil.

“One of my problems is the fact that some section think that the North is no good for the country. That should not be. They think we are hangers on and that we don’t have anything to offer whereas over 70% of our ‘oil’ came from the North in the past.”

5. Kindly, prove that you are a woman.

Genoveva Anonma is unhappy, after being made to strip naked, to prove that she is indeed female.

The former African women’s “Footballer of the Year” opened up to the BBC about the embarrassing treatment she received from African football authorities when they asked her to strip down naked and prove she was a woman.

6. Compulsory holiday! Compulsory rally participation!

Ayo Fayose has been accused of declaring a compulsory holiday and ordering Ekiti workers to attend PDP’s rally.

The APC alleged: “Declaring holiday for civil servants to enable them attend a political rally was against the tenets of civil service rule, which barred civil servants from direct partisan politics.”

But the governor’s people said: “The Governor is loved by the people. He went to the streets on Monday to mobilise the people.”

7. Buhari cannot use a computer?

Olusegun Mimiko really seems to believe Muhammadu Buhari cannot operate a computer.

The Ondo state governor says the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress is not 21st century compliant.

“They don’t belong to this generation. Some of them cannot even click a computer yet they want to be president in Nigeria in 21st century. We say no. we say no, I don’t have much to say. We want a 21st century compliant president.”
