Our Dear President, if urgent measures are not taken, these will serve as betrayal of Ndi Igbo (South-Easterners) and will also serve as a good weapon for the opposition to supervise your defeat in 2015; although you are yet to declare your interest in the contest.
Dear Mr President,
During your campaign in 2011, you told Ndi Igbo that your name is Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan. You also convinced them to take you as their brother and thereafter promised them that if elected into power, your government will successfully construct a second Niger bridge, dredge the River Niger and construct Onitsha seaport before 2015.
After the elections, you received over 95% of votes from Ndi Igbo.
Sir, We are now getting close to mid 2014 and nothing has been done to make those your promises realities.
Shockingly, your government suspended a contract for the construction of the second Niger Bridge which was flagged off by you towards the end of former Governor Peter Obi’s administration about a month ago. The most shocking part of it is that as reported, the second Niger bridge construction was not even provided for in the 2014 Budget of the federation and this means that there may be no hope towards the bridge construction before 2015 as you promised.
Moreover, nobody is still talking about the dredging of the River Niger and construction of Onitsha sea port as you promised. Are they no longer on your agenda for Ndi Igbo?
As for the federal roads in the south east which you promised to address, they still remain in very bad conditions. The Anambra axis of Onitsha-Owerri road remains bad. The Onitsha-Enugu express way is currently been patched from the middle instead of a total rehabilitation.
Our Dear President, if urgent measures are not taken, these will serve as betrayal of Ndi Igbo (South-Easterners) and will also serve as a good weapon for the opposition to supervise your defeat in 2015; although you are yet to declare your interest in the contest.
Finally, always be careful with the kind of advice you utilize as your enemies can decide to be wolves in sheep’s clothing. Don’t give any promise you are not sure of keeping.
Thank you and Long Live The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Yours,
Chukwuemerie Uduchukwu,
