1. PDP behind attack on Jonathan.
The opposition, All Progressives Congress, says the recent back-to-back attacks on President Jonathan’s campaign rally… was sponsored by his own party.

“Information is now in the public domain that these attacks were self inflicted, with the aim of demonizing the APC and instigating retaliatory attacks in the southern states, thus precipitating chaos which the PDP and the Presidency will then use as an excuse for the postponement of the elections.”

2. Jonathan shows Amaechi who’s boss.

When you are President, a governor cannot tell you what to do, even if it is his constitutional right… You’re president after all?

Rivers governor, Rotimi Amaechi, for a number of reasons, has refused to allow President Jonathan use the Adokie Amiesimaka Stadium, for his campaign rally.

Humble Goodluck Jonathan, however, didn’t quarrel with him… He simply sent his soldiers to take over the stadium and occupy it, until the rally of the Peoples Democratic Party holds on January 28.

3. Liberia’s Ebola patients drop to 5.

We are delighted for the people of Liberia, as the end is finally in sight for the outbreak of the Ebola virus disease.

After suffering the heaviest from the virus outbreak, the West African country, may in a matter of months, bid goodbye to Ebola.

According to the World Health Organisation, there are only five cases of Ebola left in Liberia.

4. Mbu reserves his comment for the APC.

After being redeployed to Lagos, and the APC, naturally alleging that it was politically motivated, AIG Joseph Mbu, says he won’t speak yet… probably till during the elections.

Police lion, Mbu said: “I reserve my comment on the spurious allegation by the APC in Lagos state; I will not say APC in general. At the appropriate time, I will respond to this allegation. I am not going to Lagos to fight but I will not tolerate lawlessness.”

5. 3 officers live to fight another day.

Three Lieutenant Colonels, won’t be heading to the gallows after all, as a general court martial, has discharged and acquitted them.

The general court martial, sitting in Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja, has released Lt Col Suleiman Saidu Tilawan, the former Commanding Officer of 103 Battalion, and Lt. Col DB Danzang and Lt. Col SU Abubakar.

6. Jonathan’s regular promise.

Over the years, President Jonathan has promised to end the menace of Boko Haram countless times… yet he persists.

On Saturday, President Goodluck Jonathan, yet again, reassured the people of Borno state and the north east zone that his administration will do everything possible to end the activities of Boko Haram terrorists and restore peace in the country.

7. Ladoja and his ‘50,000 jobs in 3-years’.

Determined Rashidi Ladoja, who wants to come back as governor of Oyo state, has promised to create 50,000 jobs, if elected.

Within his first 3 years, the Accord governorship candidate, says he would employ thousands of youths. He said there was nothing as terrible as having an army of unemployed youths, adding that no society could survive the angst that such youths would unleash on it.
