Many are disenchanted with the exit of Dora
But we’re fortunate to have been left for a succour with her aura
(Though I’ve done a tribute for Prof. Dora, I still can’t brush down the elicitation to put more ink to use for this Quintessential Amazon; and a dirge, this time. Permit me, please; for that seems to be the only way to mull over this tenoric shock that has so gripped me.)
Here it goes…
There’s an alert that swept my composure
A ruse which had better remained untrue
That gone is one among the women of substance
And pitiably drown is her glowing refulgence
Many are disenchanted with the exit of Dora
But we’re fortunate to have been left for a succour with her aura
The fact that she was a star that brightly shone
A raindrop that played its moisturizing role
Effectively and ensured the many a plant it watered survived
To fulfil ably the essence for which they’re contrived
Personality possessive of a an amazing dexter and mind
That stood up even for the less fortuned of her kind
This Amazon of a woman never ended there
In her reeling litany of values and attributes so dear.
She was a gigantic Iroko of envied height in epitome
Whose lasted presence stood as an inspiration to fulsome.
Her brilliance and dexterity were exceptional
The courage and dedication she mustered quintessential
Many had written and talked alluringly about my DNA
None could albeit capture vividly my inexpressible feel for her
Though the demise of Dora may hold my emotions in trump
The fact that her existence left remarkable landmarks make the cold
reality succumb
For one thing in the demise of saints is of a sure basis
That of certainty they aren’t dead but merely underwent a metamorphosis
Even in death Dora resounds with no disputation
Forever Nkem reigns in glamorous reflection
And I’m grateful that she so magnificently did explore
To her soul so gentle I pray for a sweet repose.
